Natural Stone, Permanent Light
Natural stone and artificial light are an old pairing—and our Marble Lighting collection is its contemporary expression. NOCTIVINE pairs natural Spanish marble with solid copper in a sleek, modern wall sconce silhouette. IRON combines frosted glass globes with a marble arm in gold or black. AURELA fuses marble and copper in a refined single-stem sconce. CONUS is inspired by natural shell forms, rendered in clean geometric lines with a matte stone finish. No two pieces are identical—natural marble has inherent variation in veining, tone, and pattern. What you receive will share the quality and character of what you see, with its own natural nuance.
- Natural Spanish marble: Colour, veining, and patterning vary between pieces—variation is a feature, not a flaw. Each fixture is unique.
- Paired with copper, iron, or glass: The metal and glass elements are consistent; the marble surface is individual.
- Wall sconces and table lamps: The marble lighting range currently spans wall-mounted sconces and desk/bedside table lamps—suited to bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and offices.
- Warm and cool white options: Available on most models—select at purchase.
Why Natural Stone in a Light Fixture?
- The material tells a story: Machine-made finishes replicate stone's appearance. Actual stone has weight, coolness to the touch, and a surface quality that no finish can fully reproduce. In a room with considered materials—linen, timber, leather—marble holds its place.
- A piece that ages beautifully: Unlike painted or powder-coated finishes that chip or dull, natural marble develops a patina over time. The copper elements in NOCTIVINE and AURELA do the same—mellowing to a warmer, richer tone without losing integrity.
- Complement to Wabi Sabi and natural interiors: If your interior already uses stone benchtops, timber floors, and linen furnishings, a marble light fixture sits within that material language rather than competing with it.
- Pair with crystal for contrast: The solidity and opacity of marble makes a particularly effective contrast against the transparency and refraction of K9 crystal pieces in the same scheme—sconces in marble alongside a crystal chandelier.
Caring for Marble Lighting
- Wipe marble surfaces with a soft, barely damp cloth. Dry immediately.
- Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon-based products) or abrasive materials—these will etch the stone.
- Copper elements can be wiped with a dry or barely damp cloth. If you prefer to slow the natural patina development, a small amount of clear wax applied periodically will protect the surface.

How to Choose Marble Lighting
- Accept variation: If you need two matching sconces for either side of a bed or mirror, order both at the same time—marble from the same production batch will be the closest match, but will still vary. This is natural and expected.
- Consider the room's existing stone: If your kitchen has a white Carrara marble benchtop, a grey or darker marble fixture creates deliberate contrast rather than a failed match. Complementing is always better than trying to replicate.
- Match the metal: Copper pairs naturally with warmer, earthier marble tones. Black iron suits cooler, more graphite-veined stone. Gold bridges both.
- Avoid bathrooms unless sealed: Untreated natural marble is porous. Keep marble fixtures in dry interior areas unless the product is specifically rated and sealed for wet environments.
